Tried It and Loved It Tuesday

I have only been looking at blogs for about a year now.  It all started when my parents told me about a blogger they saw on TV who posted about great bargains and coupon match-ups.  I started with reading A Frugal Chick daily and quickly expanded to other money saving blogs.  I eventually started a Google Reader account so I could keep all of these blogs in one place.  Over the summer, while I was home with my kids, I began exploring other types of blogs.  My favorites now are Mommy, cooking and DIY blogs.  I also love link parties because I find tons of inspiration and ideas for projects I want to complete.  Exploring blogs has led to experimenting with many new recipes.  I've found a few that were epic fails (like the cheeseburger pie I made last week) and other's have been added to our menu on a regular basis.  I'd like to share with you some of the recipes we've tried recently that we have loved.

My family LOVES alfredo sauce but we don't like all the fat and calories.  I don't care for jarred alfredo sauce--we eat it occasionally but it is definitely not my favorite.  So when I found this guiltless alfredo sauce recipe, I couldn't wait to try it.  Sorry, no pictures guys.  My family loved it so much it was gone before I could take a picture!!

With our alfredo sauce and pasta, I served homemade breadsticks with garlic bread seasoning.  The breadsticks were also quickly eaten up but the leftover garlic bread seasoning is in my fridge for future use.  Yummy!

This apple pie bread sounded so delicious, I made it right away.  It is really tasty and definitely something I will be making again.

These hot beef cheddar subs were delicious.  This will be something we will be keeping on our menu plan!
